  I had never heard of Lapeer before. I'm not from the area, and was four hours from home late at night when my car became undrivable. I pulled off at the Lapeer exit, and pulled into a parking lot. That parking lot happened to be this Kroger.
  
  I walked inside to ask if I could leave my car overnight. I spoke with a woman named Peggy. Peggy not only assured me it would be okay, she helped me find the products I could use to remedy the situation. She went well beyond the requirements of her job, and even found a spare jug I could use to split my anti freeze in. She was a god-send.
  
  It was late at night, I was stranded far from home in a city I didn't know, and I was really upset/scared. Peggys generosity and compassion that night meant so much to me, and it said a lot about her as a person, Lapeer as a city, and Kroger as a company. Thanks so much!

  Kroger's is a great supermarket for your shopping needs. Prices are reasonable and the store is well stocked every time I've been there. I also like their gas station to fill up. Their prices are usually the cheapest in town. Plus after shopping for groceries, you now get money off your gas!!! That is an excellent and welcome bonus. I would very much recommend Kroger for your grocery shopping needs.

  This place has a more intimate feel to it than some of the other, larger grocery stores. I frequent them all but I find Kroger to be a bit more relaxing to shop at. The recent renovations are a welcome change and the sushi bar was quite good when we tried it!
